"Back in the Olden Time," a song by the California songwriter Patty Hall, best describes the music of Bob Webb and Helen Richmond Webb. For 20 years, Bob and Helen have presented concert, school and museum programs of American folk music -- from Appalachian ballads to logging songs of the Pacific Northwest, and the music of the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, and Cisco Houston. Their songs, accompanied with guitars and five-string banjo, celebrate the adventure of living in America from 1850-1950.
